About Us

 Ravens Football Team Philosophy

1. We are here to “WIN”:
Winning creates a fun environment: Winning is fun. Winning is what makes football fun. I promise you, if the score of a game is 48-0 only one team is having fun! Therefore, we will do all the preparation needed each week at practice, to create a winning environment, so we can all have fun on Saturday!

2. We will Win with Style and Lose with Class:
We will win with style, and be known for our graciousness and humility in victory. If we lose, we will lose with class, and not be sore losers or poor sports, we will not make excuses for our losses, giving the victors their proper respect and credit for their victory!

3. We will Look Like a Team at All Times:
We will wear uniform numbered white jerseys at practice and scrimmages. This will create an attractive appearance, team unity and a team focused mentality.Numbers make it easier to learn the player’s names and evaluate their performance.

4. We will be the Best Conditioned Team in the League:
We will not lose a game in the fourth quarter; get caught from behind on a break away run, or make silly mental errors, because of lack of conditioning.

5. We will be the Most Physical Team in the League:
“Physically dominate” on both sides of the football: Being strong and physical on offense is not as important as it is on defense - it is MORE important. A dominant offense can break the other team down physically and mentally and control the ball AND the game.

6. We will play Smash Mouth Football:
Establish a reputation for having the “Best Inside Running Game” in the league.

7. We will be the Most Disciplined Team in the League:
Mistakes, turnovers and penalties are avoidable through sound practices and preparation. This momentum shift often changes the course of a game.
Know what it takes to be successful and prepare beforehand.
Know specific responsibilities and duties and be sure to carry them out--especially when things are not going well, as this is when it is most important. Very rarely does an undisciplined, unconfident team have what it takes to overcome adverse conditions in a hostile environment.
Players learn the necessary traits to overcome adversity in practice.
Disciple can be rehearsed and confidence gained through rigorous scrimmages.

8. We will be the Best Prepared Team in the League:
Prepare for a specific opponent with a specific game plan each week.
Team staff should scout the next opponent via proxy, video tape, or in person. Preparation for the next game begins at the final whistle of the previous one. Game preparation is merely a reflection of the week's practice preparation.Football is not life or death, it is more important than that!
