Dear Sports Enthusiast,

The Sacramento Rugby Football Club is heading to the playoffs!  At the time of writing, the “Capitals” have worked to a record of 11-2 (8-2 league) and have earned the #9 seed in the United States of America Rugby Football Union (USARFU) winning our pool in the Pacific Coast Rugby Football Union (PCRFU) Division II Competition.  The coaches and players have been putting in the hard work to get the Club back to the national level.  However, there is a long road ahead to win the National Championship.

The club traveled to Fresno, CA on April 26^th & 27^th, and defeated the Tempe RFC (32-19) and the Portland RFC (18-17) to win Pool B of the PCRFU Playoffs and qualify for the USARFU Tournament.  The club will be flying from Oakland to Austin, TX for the USARFU Round of 16 and Round of 8, held on May 17^th & 18^th.  The third and final stage is to travel to Glendale, CO for the USARFU Final 4 and National Championship, held on May 31^st & June 1^st.

The Club is actively soliciting donations from friends, family, co-workers, and businesses to defray the travel costs.  The players and coaches will still be digging deep into their own pockets to pay for the privilege of representing Sacramento on the national stage.   The Sacramento RFC is a 501(3)c, non-profit corporation (ID# 68-0169619).  All donations made to the club are considered charitable contributions.  The Sacramento RFC needs your support to make this happen and when it does, we hope that you will be able to join us in Glendale to see the fruits of our efforts.
